In-mine rail branch line

Nangerd sits about one kilometre from Nangerd railway station. To move material — ballast in particular — directly by rail, a 2,000-metre branch line is being built inside the mine boundary. The substructure is complete and rail-laying remains. When it is in service, wagons are loaded at the mine without disrupting operations at Nangerd station, which lowers cost and raises the share of rail in dispatch. The mine's connection to the national network through Nangerd station has been announced by the Director General of Arak Railway.
