Measure the whole delivery
Compare truck-only and rail dispatch by loading time, route distance, axle or wagon capacity, trans-shipment risk and site access. The best mode is the one that delivers the specified tonnes when the possession is open, not simply the one with the lowest price per kilometre.
Plan stock and slots
Rail supply works when the quarry, operator and project share a loading window, wagon plan, product segregation map and contingency for weather. A clean pad beside the siding lets the plant build a buffer without mixing sizes or blocking the next train.
